I use to live in Boyertown in from 85-87 i was 14 at the time and i loved it. I lived right across the field from west. I have been thinking it would be really cool to move back but not to sure how it would work out. How is the old town doing ??

Hey it's good to see some action around this forum!

It's also good to see someone checking back on good ol' B-town.

A lot of things are still the same, but a lot is different as well. You'll find a new promotion of the arts in town along with several new organizations.

For example, we have Bear Fever, an organization that has arranged the placement of nearly 50 large fiberglass bears around the general area of Boyertown. Students and artists have been working together to decorate them with different themes.

We also have the BBB, or Building a Better Boyertown. This is another new organization that has been working to revitalize the town, its events, and its history.

However, you'll also find the population growing immensely in the area - big houses and we're losing the farms. There is even a Wal-Mart right in our back yard in Bechtelsville, a Rita's Water Ice right in town, and many new businesses. Traffic is starting to be a bit of problem and the school's are starting to get a bit overcrowded.

But don't let the latter statement bring you down, its still a great community where you'll see your friends walking the sidewalks and people help each other out. Things are just a little busier, that's all.

I sure hope you'll be able to return someday to see how the town has grown and changed, yet still remains the same in many ways.

The best part is you can even keep up with Boyertown right here on the 'net! www.wzartv.com

Best wishes...
